Ellen began work in the tobacco barn on her grandparent's farm in
Nickleville, Georgia. There she developed a love of outdoors, an adventurous
spirit and a willingness to try anything once.
Ellen used her same passionate energy to hide the secret that her father was
an alcoholic. Her mind was cluttered with schemes to pretend rather than plans
to live her dreams. She stuffed her dreams in the closet with the secrets and
busied herself keeping the house clean, the lawn mowed and volunteering for worthwhile community projects!
Then Ellen discovered her Undeniable Purpose! Ellen's journey to find her own
Undeniable Purpose resulted in her
- Entering and graduating from college in her 40s,
- Riding her bicycle across the US, from Seattle to Washington DC in her 50s,
- Buying a house and beginning again as a single adult in her 50s,
- Receiving a Masters Degree in Management in
2005.
Ellen believes that everyone is created for a purpose and that living our
purpose becomes our "mission in motion".
